This weekend Hawaii has some super fun Christmas events!
The Nutcracker Ballet at the Hilo Palace
This weekend the Island Dance Academy is presenting a holiday favorite: The Nutcracker Ballet. It will take place at the Hilo Palace in downtown Hilo all weekend long. Shows start Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm, with doors opening one hour prior. This is a family friendly event of the classic story of a girl who goes to the Land of Sweets on Christmas Eve! The costumes and dancing will definitely make this local adaptation the perfect way to spend the afternoon or evening at the historic Hilo Palace. General Admission tickets are $12, or $10 for Keikis and Seniors.
Waimea Twilight Christmas Parade
It’s the favorite holiday tradition in Waimea! This year is the 59th Annual Twilight Parade at the Parker Ranch Center. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. Donations will also be accepted to the Bucket Brigade on the parade route to benefit The Big Island Giving Tree.
