Big Island Weekend Events Guide:
Sept 13 – 15

It’s almost the weekend and we are excited about Old Hawai’i on Horseback in Waimea.

This Saturday, September 14th from 10am to 1pm will be the Paniolo Preservation Society’s Old Hawai’i on Horseback event. It will be “an elaborate equestrian display showcasing more than 60 riders in elegant period costumes riding magnificent horses. The pageant recreates a tradition started by Waimea horsewoman and rancher, Anna Lindsey Perry-Fiske in 1964.” This is the first time it has been presented in 11 years. There will be entertainment, food and pageantry at this traditional event. You can get your tickets now here. This event is open to the public and Keiki 12 and under are free!
