A Tea Farm, in Hawaii? Yes, you read that right! One of only a handful of tea farms on the Big Island, there are endless opportunities for this unique space. With a square three acre lot it affords the feeling of a much larger space, and allows for countless layouts to maximize privacy and production. Approximately two acres are yet to be cleared, so there is a lot of room for expansion!

Originally hand cleared, the land was planted and landscaped to work with the natural terrain. The tea plants were planted carefully, in a way that feels more like a.. well, tea garden than an agricultural production with rows of crops. The tea plants themselves are Camilla Sinensis, from which green, black, and oolong tea can be made. Different varieties of bamboo and botanicals have been planted to accent and highlight the rich O'hia and Hapu'u forest. There is still over an acre of raw land that can be cleared and planted, or leveled for a house pad.

With a greenhouse, two yurts, a tea processing area, and a studio, the infrastructure is there for you to get started immediately! An electrified hog wire fence was installed to keep the rooting pigs out, and is very effective! The fence runs on a solar setup and is self sufficient. The property is currently off grid but has the possibility to hookup to HELCO.

Currently, there is not an operating business, however the current owners have experience running the tea farm as a business and are more than willing to share their expertise with the new owners.
